Role Overview

LCM Partners is one of Europe’s leading alternative investment management firms with 25 years’ experience investing in private debt.

Established in 1998, the Group is responsible for managing over €120bn of loans as a specialist in the investment and management of performing and non-performing receivables with over 2,000 people in 14 offices across ten European countries. Specialising in the more granular end of the private credit markets, the firm acquires pools of loans from financial institutions via the LCM Credit Opportunities fund strategy (COPS) and provides new origination through its direct lending fund strategy, LCM Strategic Origination & Lending Opportunities (SOLO).

We are expanding our Investment Team and looking for talented and dedicated people to join us from 1st July 2024.

What you'll do

From day one you will be fully involved with the investment team and helping LCM Partners to achieve its deployment goals. You will be assisting with both secured and unsecured portfolios and be fully involved in the entire lifecycle from origination to closing, including analysis, due diligence, pricing and presenting to the Investment Committee.

More specifically, you will be responsible for:

Investment Analysis:

o Data analysis for investment review of portfolios
o Constructing cash flow modelling and portfolio pricing models under supervision
o Scenario and statistical analysis of proposed new investments
o Data preparation for acquiring new portfolios
o Analysis and review of system data for reporting of portfolio performance and factoring into new pricing
o Development and recommendation of investment proposals

Transaction Execution:

o Supporting due diligence exercises
o Assisting in portfolio and transaction structure reporting to third parties
o Assisting in execution of fund and corporate transactions

• Business Development and Deal Origination:

o Showing awareness of potential business development opportunities
o Researching new markets/business areas for development
o Analysis of potential acquisitions or other corporate development projects
o Managing the business development pipeline and follow up with MDs
o Analysis and support material for business development initiatives

To enable your success in this role, we will provide you with a comprehensive training programme.

 

What's required

    • University graduate, preferably with a specialisation in finance, accounting, investment analysis, financial management or statistical analysis
    •  Prior experience or internships in either credit investment; or a related area including Investment banking,
    • Corporate finance, Management consultancy or Professional services
    • Other relevant professional / financial qualifications may also be of benefit
    • Written and spoken English to a high standard
    •  Good analytical abilities
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – articulate and self-assured, in order to deal effectively and appropriately with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally
    • Strong mathematical abilities to assimilate and analyse data are essential
    • Adept with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel to an advanced level
    • The ability to work well as part of a team
    • The aptitude to multi-task, prioritise and deliver work on time to a high standard
    • Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, German or French would be an advantage
